Alex Kaiser was born in 1972 in Austria. While he had almost no contact to photography in the era of analog film, he started his journey in the early days of digital in the mid nineties with a Olympus Camedia camera. With the birth of his daugther in the early new millenium, photography became more and more part of his life and he focused on portrait and people photography. In 2016 he switched into the Fujifilm camera ecosystem mainly because of the famous Acros film simulation. From this time on, black and white became his passion and center of his photographic work.
„For me, black and white is truer than colour, even if that might seem contradictory.“ – Peter Lindbergh
